i had gastric pain after having breakfast. wth. so missed first period. wa damn heng pat nathan never come again, so i still have time to prepare the 3 compos.
during lunch si en and i went to the prefect nominees' dialogue session to kachiau them. si en asked the first question: "stephen, name me 3 famous people whose names start with stephen." walau the stupid prefect moderator go and tell the nominees "nominees u can choose not to answer the qn."
then came along wai han and wei han. happy family. my turn to ask "do u all aspire to become the head prefect?" they gave me bloody political replies. then wai han went up to ask: "say u r in a boat, and u see two people drowning - the headmaster and the prefect master. if u can only save one person, who would u rescue?" at first the moderator rejected again, but
EUGENE NEO told him to allow the qn. whoa, sec 4 prefect order one of course must listen right. so qn allowed, but no one know how to ans. in the end one guy replied "i cannot swim, so i can rescue neither." bloody political.
si en's qn was the best: "u all said u will listen to the student population right? so....(voice fades to nothing)" all of us clap damn loudly and the moderator was obviously quite pissed with us. haha. but we had fun screwing around with ripb.
career talks were quite fun. santokh singh, editor for new paper, was quite humorous. like when he mentioned that today moe announced the scrappin of gep in 2008, he said that he had written an article predicting it back in 2004, and moe denied it will happen. "now, what did they do?" singh asked, then tapped his index finger on his head to show that moe were s_ _ _ _ _ . damn funny la.
man, he said journalism won't earn big bucks. it's among top 15% high-paying jobs but not the 1%, and he says money earned is 'just enough'. entrepreneur jocelyn chng from sim hwa dee came down as well, but entrepreneur not easy leh. must sell the right thing to the right people.
i think computer animation is quite cool. tony sealy from intense animation studios came to talk to us, and walau, a senior animator can earn 3k to 5k a month. creative head earns 10k a month. but the process is damn tedious can. making a 3d model is already quite difficult, but at least intense studios offers courses before u join the company. hmm i might try it as a 2nd choice to journalism.
when sealy played the intro video, two characters were featured - evil twins benjamin and william. and i looked at william who was sitting
beside me and we said 'wth..' where got so qiao one lol.
but kao, journalism really needs a good platform, or else i could be just reporting stupid ba-gua local stories. crap. must join big companies like iht, nyt, newsweek. but in the end still have to start from somewhere.

or maybe i join ign or pc gamer or some other big video game mag. but the pay would be lower, unless i get to be chief editor or something. but heck, i get paid playing video games and reviewing them, not bad already.
or just go be road sweeper la. zzz.
