grad dinner was quite eventful....at our table. but overall i thought it sucked big time. the stage programmes sucked, and more importantly the food sucked, except for the first dish which was cold japanese platter, and tt little bowl of fried rice. -.-
recap of the more interesting things which happened.
we found out that our table was 33, right smack beside the right side of the stage. of course we don't want to sit near the stage lar, so we wanted to change to table 34. we had a long but unsuccessful discussion with the waitresses, then tried to swap the numbers, but oso cannot. then the waitress tell me that 33 is a lucky number, so we should just remain with original seating plan. o.O
right, 33 is so lucky, the waitress spilled drinks on our table 3 times. yup. first at anand's seat, then si en's, then when siang huat came over to chat with us the third drink spilled onto him. wa damn gg. when sam found out that the drink had been spilled, he took an ice cube and threw it onto the stage, just when zhngmy-fi5ve was performing.
'cept for the cold platter, breaded chicken and fried rice, the rest of the dishes were left unfinished. we wasted a hell lot of food, but no choice coz they sucked.
since we were beside the stage, we were within an arm's reach of the microphone on the stage. so si en koped it and passed it round the table to me. then he and junliang from the other table started to clap the "mat-dance" beat while i did the rhythm on the mike. then sam followed by banging on the table, making the cutlery hit each other so got metal sound. we drew quite a lot of attention to our table, esp from the teachers, but ms low was laughing when she saw us, coz we all did it in her class before. and somehow she saw our youtube video. lol.
then it was the boyahs' turn to perform. after doing their stupid dancing, it was the singing part but they realised that one of the mikes was missing. armed with only one mike, they decided to not use the mike at all. how stupid. so the tables at the back cannot hear. we were trying not to laugh when they said they could not find the mike.
but after tt we decided to return the mike, but not before making stupid announcements like "your next dish is fried rice" and "what?!". luckily we returned the mike because the next programme - the damn lame fashion contest, needed mikes for the teachers. phew.
pathy called the big black mushrooms "boobs" when they were served. and after eating one, he said the "boobs' sucked. earlier he called the hot and spicy soup "is it soup or a bowl of mashed pu**y?" omfg lmao.
according to jiwei, who was holding the bowl containing the lucky draw tickets, pathy could have won the ipod video, but tt bitch mrs tan siok mui took a look at pathy, then brushed off his ticket to leave the remaining one for gep. wtf.
after the dinner, a few of us went to celebrate mingxue's birthday, which was in 3 days time. we went to the 7-11 nearby and asked jing to help us buy 2 cans of tiger beer. then we sat by the river and just talked kok, while some of them drank the beer. then mingxue and guozhong took a cab home, so the rest of us decided to go to a 24hr macs and stone for a while, coz no point takin bus or mrt. stupid grad dinner ended at like 11.30 or 11.45pm? so we went to the macs at liang court, anand ordered large fries for us to share, then we decided to go take the night-rider bus home coz it would be much cheaper than takin a cab.

by the clarke quay river: guozhong, anand, si en, pathy, tee yong, me, marcus, mingxue.
after waiting at the bus stop for like half an hour, and watching 3 buses of the same number pass by while our side was empty 'cept for the taxis, pathy crossed the road to help us check the night-rider service routes. after reading out all the destinations of 5 night-rider services, he walked back, then halfway he realised he forgot to check timings, so he went back, and returned with some pretty good news.
night-riders only available on fri and weekends. so we wasted 45mins just sitting at the bus stop outside liang court. marcus did not want to wait anymore, so he called his dad to pick him up, but before leaving he lend us his 50-dollar note, so si en and i could take taxi home. but 50-dollar very hard to share, so i went back to macs, and after waiting in the queue for 10mins, the manager told me that i have to make a purchase before she could open the cashier to change the note. i was like tmd la, so i bought the cheapest thing there - 2 ice cream cones. lol. then we walked all the way from liang court to pearl's hill road, which is near the juvenile courts, coz si en say can save money if take taxi near the expressway. lol. well including the midnight surcharge, liang court to my place only cost 10.50. so i guess si en was right, for once.
what time i reached home? 1.30am.
got other photos la, but very sian to put them up. and must go get photos from other ppl as well. zzz. i realised tt some ppl were really totally cam-whorers. -.-
