today i will share w u how to catch a fish.
fishing requires a lot of patience.
it's u, a rod w bait, and a good few hrs of waiting.
unless of course u cast a big net into the sea.
that's called cheating.
success of fishing depends on both the bait used and the technique of reeling in the fish.
the bait, of course, must be able to attract the fish's attention, and appetite.
so it must look appetising, and smell good too.
some fishes may be attracted to an unusual-looking bait, something not as common as the typical worm.
others may go for their favourite bite. u might have to invest a bit in getting the special bait.
so u've got the right bait, now it's time to cast the rod and wait.
how long u wait depends on the bait, and the activity in the area.
if ur waiting too long with no results, u could be using the wrong bait.
using different types of bait and still w no luck means ur fishing in the wrong pond.
it's time to look somewhere else.
when u do feel a tug on ur rod, it's vital tt u do not quickly reel it in.
the sudden force may frighten the fish away.
reel the rod nice and easy, while at the same time applying a little pressure on the rod so that ur in control of the fish.
never let go of the rod.
keep watching the fish's movement in the water.
ensure that the line is tight or else the fish will escape. when the fish is close enough, pull the rod up while reeling at the same time.
examine ur catch and decide whether u want to keep it or throw it back into the sea.
sport-fishing is fun, but ultimately there is no realistic gain from it.
just be careful not to catch a great white shark.
and that sums up my blog entries for the break, as normal national service resumes tonight.
fuck man.
can't wait for my leave in 2 wks' time.
